KONE

Etteplan has been one of KONE’s key engineering partners for more than 15 years, supplying engineering services and technical documentation solutions for KONE’s projects worldwide. KONE is known for its innovative and technically advanced product development. Competence is naturally our most important resource. Our market position requires an insightful eye to the future and an understanding of how to develop the right kind of competence.

SKS Automaatio

SKS Automaatio has taken advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet of Things and digitalized the monitoring of industrial machines and processes. The IoTKey service developed by the company is a comprehensive platform for machine and process monitoring and the preventive maintenance of equipment. Etteplan is a technology partner in the product development project.

NeoDynamics

It all began with a problem – and a brilliant idea. Professor Hans Wiksell, founder of the medical technology company NeoDynamics, recognized that breast cancer biopsies involve certain problems and risks. He discovered a method that provides better, safer and less invasive sampling.

Icare

When the company set out to find a product development partner, its objective was clear: it wanted to improve the usability of a tonometer (internal eye pressure measurement device) which was on the market. It was also important to ensure the accuracy of the results of measurement made at home.

Satel

Salo-based Satel develops and manufactures radio modems and other wireless communications systems. Satel’s mission critical wireless data connections are in use within over 70 countries. Exports account for 90% of the sales. Application areas include telemetry of agriculture machinery, intelligent traffic systems, monitoring and control of power and water infrastructure as well as industrial processes, safety and weather systems and telemetry of engine control for rally cars.

Design for testing (DFT) as part of product development

To ensure the quality and correct operation of electronic products you have to be able to test them both during R&D phase (design verification) and later in production (production testing). To make sure the required testing is possible to do, and preferably even easy to do, you have to take the testing requirements into account when the product is being developed. This is called design for testability or design for testing (DFT).
