Tampere Events

Mobile application for events in Tampere was delivered by Etteplan and was used for the first time in the IAAF World U20 Championships . The application provides the visitors with information about the schedule, arrival to the event and services for example. In addition, it’s possible to choose favourite competitions and the application will notify when they begin.

Mobile application for events in Tampere

During the summer 2018 the Tampere Events mobile application was used also in other major events held in Ratina, such as Finland-Sweden Athletics International and different concerts. In the future the application will cover other events in Tampere and it will be further developed according to the users’ wishes. Some additional features have already been planned such as information on queues at the gates or traffic situation.

“It’s a pleasure to be able to see how the international visitors in the World Championships welcomed the application. Based on these experiences we can develop the app further looking forward to the upcoming events in Ratina this summer. Implementing the Tampere Events mobile application and the related publishing system has been a great experience and an agile effort for our whole project team,” says Matti Anttonen, Business Architect at Etteplan.
