Drones measure Boliden’s mining sites

The benefits of UAVs are numerous; lower costs, increased safety and less environmental impact.

The Micro:bit project supported by Etteplan

Since 2016, Etteplan, together with other partners, has been driving forward a pilot project called Micro:bit. The project’s objective is to promote the teaching of programming in a fun and creative way in Finnish schools. The Innokas Network, which is coordinated by the University of Helsinki’s Faculty of Educational Sciences, has been one of the project’s partners since 2017.

Neste

Etteplan implemented a mobile app for Neste that includes mobile refuelling, as well as a wide range of opportunities for customer marketing. Potential users of the application, which was released for iPhone and Android, are all the Finns traveling by car.

Posti

Etteplan is Posti’s collaboration partner in charge of the maintenance of Posti’s parcel lockers. Etteplan also participates in the development of the parcel locker system. The Continuous Services unit of Etteplan carried out the modernisation of Posti’s parcel locker equipment and the implementation of the new software during autumn 2017. The work covered all parcel lockers in Finland.

Viking Line Grace

MS Viking Grace is a cruise ferry constructed at STX Europe Turku Shipyard, Finland for the Finland-based ferry company Viking Line. She is the world's first LNG-fuelled large passenger ship, now running between Turku, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden.

UVL10

The Offshore Patrol Vessel UVL10 was built for the Finnish Border Guard at STX Finland Oy’s Rauma shipyard in Finland. The ship can be used in all weather and visibility conditions on the Baltic Sea and it is capable of independent long-term operation at extended ranges. The ship hull and its systems have been designed with seaworthiness and operational dependability to ensure functioning capacity under extreme conditions.

S.A. Agulhas II

S. A. Agulhas II is an ice breaking polar supply and research ship built in 2012 by STX Finland Rauma shipyard in Rauma, Finland. S. A. Agulhas II was designed from the beginning to carry out both scientific research and supply South African research stations in the Antarctic.

 

Multidisciplinary Fisheries Research Vessel

Deep-sea fisheries and multidisciplinary research vessels are used to collect information on fish stocks and their living environment. The vessels are capable of performing different types of research tasks necessary for the sustainability of fish stocks and the marine environment.
