Agnieszka Kamińska-Grzybowska: At Etteplan, we celebrate every success
In January 2024, Agnieszka Kamińska-Grzybowska, a documentation specialist in Poland, made the decision to change jobs. "I found a job posting on LinkedIn that Etteplan was looking for technical writers. I applied and went through a recruitment process that ended positively for me," recalls Agnieszka.
First Steps at Etteplan
Agnieszka began her journey at Etteplan with a project for one of the key clients, working 50% of her time alongside an experienced leader, Magdalena Piszko. Magda introduced Agnieszka to the world of projects, and their collaboration proved fruitful. After some time, Magda transitioned to another position, and Agnieszka took full responsibility for the project. Soon after, she became engaged in a second initiative for another client.
Challenges and Learning in Practice
Every project Agnieszka participated in presented her with different challenges. In the first one, she had to adapt to specific documentation writing standards. The second project was more complex, as it involved using a different content management system (CMS) and placed a greater emphasis on Expert Technical Standards (ETS).
Both projects were interesting for her, as each offered something unique. In one, she developed her technical documentation skills; in the other, she stepped into a leadership role. "I’ve always been a bit drawn towards management. It intrigues me – there's the challenge of coordinating various elements, collaborating with people, running meetings, setting agendas, and distributing tasks. I enjoy this aspect. I like to write and create, but coordinating and monitoring the project's progress is equally satisfying for me," says Agnieszka.
Strength in the Team
Agnieszka appreciates Etteplan for its atmosphere of trust and support. Managers give their teams space to act, fostering development and creativity. "I was thrilled to see that at Etteplan, even the smallest success is celebrated. Here, you feel appreciated for your work," emphasizes Agnieszka. The atmosphere is also shaped by the people. Working together on projects is not just a challenge but also an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences. "'Smarter Together' is not just words or a value written on paper. It's a real action that perfectly reflects the team spirit. Every member brings something unique, enabling them to achieve more together," Agnieszka adds.
Work-Life Balance – Employee and Parent
Life isn't all about work. Many of us have families, homes that require our commitment. At Etteplan, Agnieszka sees that the organization respects employees' personal time. "There have been many times when I had to finish work early to pick up my kids or because one of them got sick. There was never a problem with that. What's more, my manager even asked me afterward how my child was feeling. Here, I don’t have to choose between my kids and my job. I feel that these two areas coexist, and I can be both a good employee and a good mom," Agnieszka concludes.
