Etteplan and Suomen Unit Oy have agreed that the business operations of Suomen Unit Oy will be transferred to Etteplan on April 1, 2016. The company’s 17 experts including the management, will continue as Etteplan’s employees.
Suomen Unit Oy specializes in plant and equipment engineering. Its customers include Outokumpu, StoraEnso, Efore, Metsä Botnia and Metsä Fibre to name a few.
The transaction strengthens further Etteplan’s market position in plant engineering, where it became one of the largest companies providing plant engineering services in Finland after the acquisition of SAV Oy in August last year.
– Thanks to the business transfer agreement we are able to offer to our local customers more diverse services in machine and equipment engineering as well as in plant engineering. This is an important competitive advantage as customers are centralizing service procurement and ordering from larger service providers, says Riku Riikonen, SVP Engineering Services at Etteplan.
