Comprehensive carbon footprint calculation supports Pirkanmaan Voimia’s sustainability goals
Etteplan calculated Pirkanmaan Voimia’s 2024 carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol. The calculation covered all company operations and emission sources (scope 1–3), with special attention given to food-related emissions. Pirkanmaan Voimia annually provides 14 million meals in daycare centers, schools, hospitals, and other public services.

From Manual to Automated Production of Fiber Flex Optic Circuits
Two customers, active in the connectivity and sensor solutions market for the distribution of power, signals, and data, as well as in the photonics market, approached Etteplan with similar requests shortly after one another. In response to market developments that presented new opportunities for them, they wanted to capitalize on the increased demand for fiber optic products. Until that point, the assembly of their products had been primarily manual, which posed a challenge in seizing these opportunities. Therefore, they aimed to optimize their production process and transition to an automated solution, seeking a reliable partner to assist them in this transition.

Custom Solution: Etteplan Delivers Exact Replicas of Fiber Router and Coater Machines
A leading company focused on providing connectivity and sensor solutions for the distribution of power, signals, and data approached Etteplan with a specific challenge. They had a machine that was essential to their production processes, but the manufacturer had ceased its production. Now that the machine had reached the end of its life cycle and needed to be replaced, they had to find a new supplier capable of creating an exact copy of their existing machine. It was crucial for them that the new machines could continue to produce the same products and techniques that they had been making with their old machine.

Etteplan carried out a comprehensive eco-consulting project for Audiovisual Producers Finland (APFI) association. The project included a training series titled “Sustainable Development in Production Companies,” which reached 15 Finnish film and TV production companies from March 20 to May 8, 2025. The trainings were part of a broader initiative that offered an open event for all audiovisual industry stakeholders, presenting key findings on the state of sustainability in production companies.
