Etteplan rAIse – Pragmatic industrial AI for smarter businesses

A global industrial manufacturer needed to improve how documentation is managed across multiple product variants, where similar content was duplicated across separate manuals. By combining the use of Doc to XML and Content Reuse Analyzer, two of Etteplan’s rAIse tools, Etteplan made content reuse visible and measurable for the customer, revealing that a significant share of content could be reused, thereby reducing manual effort and translation work. 

A long-term public sector customer needed to scale the migration of thousands of documents into a structured XML-based system. By using one of Etteplan’s rAIse tools, Doc to XML, the customer reduced conversion effort by approximately 80%, transforming a slow, manual process into a scalable workflow and enabling progress toward a long-term digitalization roadmap.

Etteplan’s collaboration with Kuopion Energia marked a milestone in the digitalization of technical documentation. Building on that success, we developed Master Data Extraction 2.0 (MDE 2.0) — an AI-powered document intelligence solution that automates information extraction and streamlines the management of all document types.

One of Etteplan’s customers, a global industrial group with dozens of production facilities in various business areas, launched a comprehensive digital transformation to unify its operations under a single ERP system. For decades, material master data had been fragmented across different plants, systems, and formats. To obtain a clean, consistent, and ERP-ready data set, the customer worked with Etteplan to establish a structured master data management process combining technical expertise, automation, and AI support.

To enhance the efficiency and reliability of its spare parts services, Valmet partnered with Etteplan to implement an AI-powered solution that streamlines spare parts identification and management. 

Versatile energy company Kuopion Energia has long been known for its reliable and high-quality services, which include electricity production, district heating, and renewable energy solutions. Technical drawings are vital to Kuopion Energia’s operations, as they provide detailed information about the structure and functioning of energy production and distribution systems. Clearly named and easily accessible drawings enable efficient planning, maintenance, and problem-solving, thereby improving operational efficiency and ensuring reliable production.

In various design tasks, such as equipment design or process design, it is essential that plans are based on up-to-date standards and utilize existing design guidelines. The ability to quickly find, organize, and understand the right information is crucial for the efficiency of design processes. Recognizing this need, Etteplan has developed a service solution that leverages creative artificial intelligence for technical designers in collaboration with the Finnish Standards Association SFS.
