The goal was to ensure globally consistent, brand-compliant, and efficient communication with precise terminology, high-quality translations, and significantly reduced internal workload. Our internationally active clients, including those in the mechanical engineering, IT, automotive, and renewable energy sectors, entrusted Etteplan with the development and implementation of a comprehensive terminology management system. Terminology management involves the creation and maintenance of technical terms within a company. The goal was to establish company-wide, standardized terminology for each client, avoid misunderstandings, and minimize legal risks, particularly in an international context. At the same time, the aim was to lay the groundwork for consistent, brand-compliant communication in all target languages.

A global industrial manufacturer needed to improve how documentation is managed across multiple product variants, where similar content was duplicated across separate manuals. By combining the use of Doc to XML and Content Reuse Analyzer, two of Etteplan’s rAIse tools, Etteplan made content reuse visible and measurable for the customer, revealing that a significant share of content could be reused, thereby reducing manual effort and translation work. 

A long-term public sector customer needed to scale the migration of thousands of documents into a structured XML-based system. By using one of Etteplan’s rAIse tools, Doc to XML, the customer reduced conversion effort by approximately 80%, transforming a slow, manual process into a scalable workflow and enabling progress toward a long-term digitalization roadmap.

Etteplan’s collaboration with Kuopion Energia marked a milestone in the digitalization of technical documentation. Building on that success, we developed Master Data Extraction 2.0 (MDE 2.0) — an AI-powered document intelligence solution that automates information extraction and streamlines the management of all document types.

Our client, the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles, particularly trucks and buses, commissioned Etteplan to develop a multilingual e-learning program to train drivers and sales teams on a new control unit. The goal was to efficiently prepare hundreds of people worldwide in five languages for the subsequent face-to-face training sessions.

To enhance the efficiency and reliability of its spare parts services, Valmet partnered with Etteplan to implement an AI-powered solution that streamlines spare parts identification and management.
