Support for Climate Action

Orthex, one of the leading manufacturers of household and storage products in the Nordic countries, has been carrying out long-term climate work in collaboration with Etteplan since 2020. The partnership began with the calculation of Orthex’s organizational carbon footprint in 2020, after which calculations have been carried out annually as part of the company’s ongoing sustainability efforts. Alongside carbon footprint calculations, Etteplan has supported Orthex in the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) process, through which Orthex’s Scope 1 and 2 emission reduction targets have been validated.

Metehe Oy is a Finnish family-owned company that has been working with steel roofing and sheet metal since 1998. Carbon footprint is a key metric in Metehe’s upcoming sustainability reporting, which is why the company has committed to tracking it annually. With the calculation tool developed by Etteplan, Metehe can independently assess and monitor its carbon footprint.

Etteplan calculated Pirkanmaan Voimia’s 2024 carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol. The calculation covered all company operations and emission sources (scope 1–3), with special attention given to food-related emissions. Pirkanmaan Voimia annually provides 14 million meals in daycare centers, schools, hospitals, and other public services.

LMG Finland Oy, the world’s leading supplier of marine kitchen installations and high-quality stainless steel furniture, conducted its first organizational-level carbon footprint calculation in collaboration with Etteplan. The goal was to understand the company’s climate impacts and establish a foundation for future emissions reduction initiatives.

Etteplan conducted a carbon footprint calculation for Prakticum, a vocational school in Finland. This initiative aligns with Prakticum’s commitment to enhance environmental awareness and reporting in line with national climate goals. The conducted carbon footprint calculation and related development measures are also a key part of Prakticum’s new sustainability strategy for 2026-2030.
